When you do upgrade your axe to Copper at least, you'll be capable of raking in 8 stumps worth of hardwood per day (16), and when you can get to the Secret Woods, that makes it a lot higher (28). You can, at least, use the grass tiles for trees, or build animal houses on the dirt next to/near some grass to fence off for them.Įxtreme early game, you won't be gathering hardwood from stumps. Mid & Late game, you will feel limited because of the amount of grass tiles that you can't hoe. I posted a thread about the Forest map - the one I've got a file going on currently.Įxtreme early game, you don't feel limited by much of anything. None of the monsters drop anything useful though, so. Ready access to monsters for some of the adventure quests. Provides a good "new" map for people sick of Standard Farm that still want to farm/build a lot of stuff. Town fish are one of the smallest fish pools, so you'll quickly end up just catching the same fish type over and over again. Presumably over the course of a game will keep you pretty well stocked with ores. Pros? Get a quarry so you can jumpstart to better tools/equipment without having to do mines early. Probably not a great map if you want to do animals. Probably the best of the new maps by far.Ĭons? Not a lot of room for both farmland and buildings. Decent Size farming area directly in front of the house. Only need that much if you plan to max out money/make a huge aesthetically pleasing farm that lasts 3+ years.
